There were so many interesting stakes races around the country that this week's Key Races & Bets podcast covers five of them - the Rehoboth and Cape Henlopen at Delaware Park, the Jersey Derby at Monmouth, the Royal North at Woodbine and the Powder Break at Gulfstream Park.

This week's podcast covers two really nice turf races on Saturday - the Cliff Hanger Stakes at Monmouth and the Paradise Creek at Aqueduct. Then we move to the best two races of the weekend on Monday, the Grade 1 Gamely Stakes and the Grade 1 Shoemaker Mile Stakes at Santa Anita.

The Preakness Day card is full of excellent betting races and this week's Key Races & Bets podcast covers three of them in detail - The Gallorette Stakes, the Chick Lang Stakes and the Sir Barton Stakes.

There's a big day of racing taking place at Belmont at the Big A (Aqueduct) on Saturday May 10, including three straight stakes races, all covered in detail this week - The Take the A Train Stakes, The Ruffian Stakes and the Peter Pan Stakes, the latter being a prep for the Belmont Stakes to be run in four weeks.

This year's Kentucky Derby is covered in detail, going over how the race may be run in the early stages, who should benefit and who is at a disadvantage, along with top contenders and strategy. This week's KEY RACES and Bets covers three stakes races on turf around the country. We start with the Woodhaven Stakes at Aqueduct, move down to Florida for the Monroe Stakes at Gulfstream Park and finish with the Grade 3 Royal Heroine Stakes at Santa Anita.

This week's KEY RACES are the Bay Shore Stakes at Aqueduct, the Federico Tesio Stakes at Laurel (a prep for the Preakness) and the Elkhorn Stakes at Keeneland.

This week's Key Races & Bets takes a look at three excellent stakes races at three different tracks. We start with the Heavenly Cause Stakes at Laurel, move over to Aqueduct for the Top Flight Invitational and end with a superb turf race in the Jenny Wiley Stakes at Keeneland.

Three Derby preps take place around the country and the Wood Memorial at Aqueduct is one of them with a nice field and a horse I think stands out. The Carter Stakes and Excelsior Stakes which precede the Wood are also covered in detail on this week's podcast.

It's Florida Derby day and that race as well as the three stakes that precede it are all covered in detail - the Army Mule Stakes, Sand Springs Stakes and Appleton Stakes.
